Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-04-19
This Cookie Policy explains how iTribe Project uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on https://www.itribe.us and the iTribe mobile application (together, the "Platform"). This policy supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your browser to remember information between visits. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, service-worker caches, and pixel tags.
2. Categories of cookies we use
Strictly Necessary (always on — cannot be disabled)
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
stf.sid | Session authentication — keeps you signed in. | 14 days (sliding) |
_csrf | Cross-Site Request Forgery protection. | Session |
connect.sid | Fallback session identifier in some deployments. | Session |
Functional / Preference
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
itribe-theme | Remember dark / light mode choice. | 1 year (localStorage) |
itribe-consent | Remember your cookie-banner choice. | 1 year (localStorage) |
__itribe_sw_reloaded | Ensure the service worker reload fires exactly once per session. | Session (sessionStorage) |
Analytics (only if you consent)
We may use aggregated, privacy-preserving analytics to understand how the Platform is used. No third-party advertising cookies are placed without your explicit consent.
3. Managing cookies
- Cookie banner: on your first visit, you'll see a banner letting you accept all or only-necessary cookies. You can change this choice later from this page.
- Browser controls: every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will sign you out and may break the Platform.
- "Do Not Track" / Global Privacy Control: we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in supported browsers.
4. Third-party cookies
Banquest (payment processing), Google (Sign-In), and our hosting / error-monitoring providers may set their own cookies when you use their features. Their policies govern those cookies:
- Banquest — banquest.com/privacy-policy
- Google — policies.google.com/privacy
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy. The version date at the top identifies the current revision. Material changes will be announced via email or an in-app notice.
